My Story
Dr. Quinton holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Human Development; a Master of Arts degree in Gerontological Psychology and a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology. Dr. Quinton completed a 2 year fellowship in GI psychology with Northwestern Medicine, under the direction of Dr. Laurie Keefer and Dr. John Pandolfino. Dr. Quinton has specialized in treatment related to gastrointestinal conditions, chronic pain, and related disorders.
As a practitioner, Dr. Quinton’s goal is to better understand the complex interplay of psychological and social issues which impact health experiences to improve the quality of life for those with chronic or acute medical conditions. She specializes in working with those with digestive health conditions (IBS, IBD, NASH, obesity), headache conditions (migraines, cluster headaches), cancer (particularly women with BRCA 1 and BRCA2), and cognitive disorders related to aging and disease.
Dr. Quinton uses and promotes evidence-based assessment and treatment approaches to assist patients in obtaining better disease control and to feel empowered about their care. Dr. Quinton utilizes evidence-based treatment approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Medical Hypnotherapy, and Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MSBR) to help patients address their symptoms, coping, and wellbeing.
She lives in the Chicago area with her husband, kids, cats, and dog (and both loves and is exasperated by the chaos).
